The event

Today was the (highly anticipated) birthday party. Noah was involved in all the planning and was super clear in what he wanted. From the invitation list to the main event -- a treasure hunt around the property and up the hill behind the house..

Since we live out of town and a bit of a drive for many, we extended the invitation to include siblings and parents. About 30 kids and 15 adults came. The first arriving at 2:30 and the last leaving after 10pm.

Everything went great.

Noah carefully left one candle burning on his birthday cake, and with a twinkle in his eye declined to tell us who it was for, but his best (girl) friend was the only one to be invited to sleep over last night.
