Waiting for a train

I spent the day doing a good impression of a fly with a blue arse - hectic bouts of work (emailing, planning, reading, etc) interspersed with various errands. Managed to get to the allotment where I gave the pumpkin on the compost heap a thorough watering, having omitted it on Monday. Think it'll survive. Picked more courgettes and green beans.

Eventually I went up to Waverley to meet the old seacat off the train. He was in reasonably good shape for someone who had been sitting on trains since around 10am. DaveH appeared about an hour later, having got a train up from Blackburn. We ate a vast and fairly delicious meal that used up quite a few of the vegetables in the fridge - but only made the slightest of dents on the courgette mountain.
