Kibble Palace

Inspired by the Crystal Palace, John Kibble built a glass house next to his home in Coulport Argyll. Later he had it transported to Glasgow Botanic Gardens by barge, where it was subsequently enlarged to create a pleasure dome for entertainment, exhibitions, concerts and public meetings!
