Battle Abbey

You can find this edifice in a small East Sussex town. This is the entrance to the abbey and the battlefield. If you're a member of English Heritage, you don't have to pay, if you're not, you do. Well worth a visit either way. Where else would you find out that Harold's other half was called Edith Swanneck? Apart from in books, maybe Google!
