Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Back to School

Back to school today - I hate sending them back to school, they should stay home and play with me all the time - it was a big day for Josh as he started High School, couldn't be prouder of my wee chap who took it all in his stride and admitted to enjoying it, for school! Also couldn't be prouder of Ky who discovered the actual mark she got in two of her subjects, just as well she's such a modest wee thing or we could have a bit of a big head on our hands!
After the success of Monday nights Campfire and Teddy Sleepover at work I was more than a little put out when a colleague texted me yesterday to say that one of the teds had gone missing - she had noticed that a bear who had been there before lunch had gone we she came back and assumed the wee girl she belonged to had collected her but no, one very upset child left the library without her teddy yesterday. Today we set to work finding out what had happened and were a little shocked and dismayed to witness, on CCTV footage, a small girl nip behind the counter for a look at the Bears, come back a few minutes later, take one, run away, try to hid it up the front of her top and then up the back, before stuffing it in her bag! We can only hope her mum finds it and brings it back. We popped up a couple of missing bear posters, hoping to shame someone into bring the bear back and the poster the wee girl who lost the bear brought in would bring a tear to a glass eye - Please return Bellarina, she belongs with her family.
Oh, forgot to say, this is Ky, Josh and our next door neighbour, Gav, on the first day of Primary School and the first of High School.
