That's a Big One

Now home, His Lordship and I are finding it difficult to adjust to having the Edinburgh Fringe camped almost on our doorstep. After 3 weeks of Orkney peace and tranquility, the mass of tourists thronging our area is too much to bear.
This oriental 'gieing it laldy ' on his huge drum was almost on our doorstep, but fortunately the sound was a bit like thunder and not too disturbing.

I know that the holiday is over when I have a visit to the dentist at lunch time today. She has assiduously discovered on last month's X-Ray some decay in a tooth which needs attention. Hopefully it will not be under a crown or that will be the final assault on our bank balance.

At least it's sunny and warm............
