Winter Puddle

There were large amounts of surface water around after very heavy overnight rain. Our lawn is awash in places. The pathway alongside the down-town section of the Taylor River was no exception with large puddles on the concrete surfaces in many places. The rain had stopped around lunchtime when I took Fergus the dog for a quick walk. I rather liked the reflection of some winter trees is this puddle. Luckily I photographed it before Fergus ran through the water. The day was still grey and a little bleak so monotones looked so much better than the original rather depressing colours. We luckily enjoyed a sunny afternoon.
