Dromore

This little house is the only one in the nearby village that hasn't been renovated or razed to the ground or fallen into total ruin. I've always liked the look of it. I like the way the lines of it are not quite parallel.

There was respite from the rain today and although the ground is still pretty soggy, the storm damage in the garden wasn't as bad as I'd expected. Some of the hedgerow foxgloves- for which it's a mega- year here in West Cork- have keeled over. But there are still plenty standing too. Everything growing seems to bounce back.

I seem to have gained another young student from the Basque country. I'm told it's only for the one night , but we shall see!
