Temporary Installation

Very temporary!

The two large monolithic pieces "book-ending" this display at Allied Arts in downtown Bellingham are styrofoam packaging from the bandsaw I bought recently.

That stuff can't be recycled, so I was faced with the prospect of cutting it into smaller pieces to put in our garbage. I knew that Allied Arts collects miscellaneous junk items for artists to work with, but I wasn't sure if they would be interested in anything this large.

Yesterday I went to AA and showed the volunteer person at the reception desk a photo of my offerings, and she assured me that they would be happy to receive them. I took them in today, and couldn't resist taking this photo before I said goodbye.
