Großglockner

We stayed near Kaprun and went on a walk in a gorge as it was so warm. We then drove over the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße towards Kärnten. We were held up near the bottom by an accident that was relatively quickly shifted. It was hot but the views were great. It was slightly misty on the higher hills, but as we passed over the high point it cleared, and by the time we got round to the Großglockner it was crisp and clear. It is the highest hill in Austria and heavily glaciated, although they are much smaller than in recent years.
