Duty

It never occurred to me that stamp duty would be on legal documents in the form of actual stamps.  But it is. How strange and archaic.

This will sound boastful and it's really not meant that way, but it is a big moment for us: we own our house. We got the deeds before going on holiday and this is the first time I've had a proper look at them.
