Changes

The weather is definitely changing.  Gone are the dog days of late July and things have become much more temperate (27 degrees today with a cooling breeze).  There was almost a hint of pre-autumn in the air when I took this evening photo.  The day was spent gardening and doing consultation analysis, a good combination of brain work and fresh air.  Around teatime, our neighbour came to the door, asking if she could show her daughter around our house!  Now you have to understand that (i) said neighbour was born in our house and she wanted to show her daughter the changes that have come about since the daughter's grandmother's days (are you following all of this?) and (ii) said neighbour used to be an estate agent in Paris and showing off other people's houses comes naturally to her.  Anyway, they did the tour and made all the right  noises; said all the right things about how the house looked as if it was in a "Country Homes" kind of magazine.  After they left I made my Spanishy version of cassoulet and allowed myself one glass of wine before going back to a further hour of research analysis.
