Modern Lyon

Went for a stroll again down the Rhône/Saône confluent. It really is quite remarkable how this area has been developed over the last five years.  Run down industry before, the dirty, dodgy end of town.  Developments still on-going so that the whole 5kms stretch is becoming completely modernized. 
So - this photo is just an example of the new architecture.  Interesting too that Lyon has more money to spend on such projects than Marseilles - a question of politics and economics.
