Before and after

We decided that today was the day to begin decorating the little bedroom.

Stage one today was to sort through and clear out all the junk: bin, recycle, charity shop, use or loft.

N took the grotty carpet up at the end and we'll take it and a few bags of rubbish to the tip tomorrow. Not sure when we'll start stage two of wallpaper stripping, but at least we've made a start.

At lunchtime we popped down to Eynsford for a breath of air and a sandwich by the river. We caught a glimpse of eight Spitfires in formation, flying to commemorate 75 years since "the hardest day" of the Battle of Britain. An amazing sight. We salute them!

What a busy day! Time for a restful evening.
