Copper on Corn Marigold
Another summer's day today with blue sky!
We did the 'Adam' just before lunch, seeing lots of insects on wild flowers, including this little Copper just down the road. It's on one of those yellow flowers I blipped a while back , thanks to gen2 have been identified as Corn Marigolds Glebionis segetum.
Whilst walking around the reservoir we could hear the ducks quacking but couldn't see them. Then we did and soon realised what was going on. A young boy, reception class age, was throwing stones at them, whilst his mother was texting or looking at her phone. See extra. I was not at all happy and told her to stop him and to put her dog on a lead. Naturally in her posh voice, she denied he would be doing such a thing, but I told her that the ducks were coming towards him because they thought he was feeding them. Of course I didn't mention that she was probably too busy on her mobile to realise what was going on! Sorry rant over!!
The noise from the demolition above my patch was echoing up the valley, such a shame as it's a peaceful place, hopefully it won't last long.
