Sunset at Allandale, Lyttelton Harbour

Another Tuesday rolls around, which must mean a trip to Christchurch for work, and, on this occasion a journey over the hill to Diamond harbour for camera club.

On the way over, Mrs H and I (for she too has been in town with me today) stopped at the flats at Allandale at the head of the harbour. As I stood taking shots, we watched as kingfishers darted down from the surrounding macrocarpas to snap up stragglers on the foreshore.

We had a special guest blipper tonight at camera club tonight, Daring2Go, presenting a slideshow of her trip to South Africa and Namibia from earlier in the year. I think it's fair to say her amazing photos impressed and delighted our small club. Thanks J!
