Cousins in L.A.

We met my first cousin Betsy and her husband John for lunch today at the  Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, not far from their home. They had just spent nearly two months in Paris, in the apartment which we regularly occupy in winter.  They had a great time, and we enjoyed hearing about it. Afterwards they headed off to deal with other things (including an alarming plumbing leak), and we had an very enjoyable and stimulating tour of the museum. It is larger than I remember from our last visit (well over a decade ago) and of very quality; I especially appreciated the Netherlandish 17th century and the  impressionists/post impressionists.
