Vaison -la - Romaine

Arrived safely after a good journey down . Motorway very busy today with lots of Dutch and Belgiums hurtling to the sun!

A nice bottle of wine and home made cherry jam waiting for us on the table from Frederique.

Last night's meal was wonderful. Into town tonight for a Pizza.

In 1992 the River Ouveze flooded and 53 plus people lost their lives. The water rose so fast and came over the top of this bridge which was the only one left standing .( It was 2000 years old!)

In the distance you can just see the top of Mt Ventoux. 6,273 ft high. Notorious on the Tour de France cycle race.

Internet slow, and can only use it out on the terrace.
