Lifeboat Day 2015

The obvious highlight of this year's Lifeboat Day was the helicopter exercise. It's the last year that the Royal Navy's Rescue 177 (based at HMS Gannet at Prestwick) will be appearing at our Lifeboat Day as it goes out of service at the end of the year. We were treated to a fantastic display including a wet lift from very close in - if you look directly below the helicopter there is one of the lifeboat crew in the water waiting to be "rescued".
