"The Dip"
We were due to be heading home, however the drive is only a little over an hour. When we arrived we asked the owner of the site if it would be OK if we stayed past the expected lunch time departure. They very kindly agreed. This meant we could enjoy the morning and have a leisurely lunch before we started to pack up.
During one of our drives around we spotted a little cove with a beach, unusual for the area. So we decided to visit it and watch the tide come in. You are thinking watch the tide come in that's on a par with watching paint dry. Wrong! The tides on Morecambe bay come in very quickly forming tidal bores in some places.
We had a lovely morning warm but overcast and when we arrived the beach to ourselves. By the time the tide was fully in it was beginning to look a bit like Blackpool beach. Why "The Dip"? I haven't a clue but that is what it was called on the notice telling us we could only catch 3 Sea Bass per day!
