When I went out this morning, a little flock of these were stuffed into a quince that we have, they took me very much by surprise as they all whirred off. So cute.

I read in a magazine recently that a study done by the University of Exeter found that there are 421 million fewer birds in Europe than there were 30 years ago.

421 000 000.

Horrifying.
