Suburban Skyline Sunset

I've not had much chance to dash up into the loft to catch a glorious sunset this summer. And this one didn't really materialise either.

But one thing struck me (as I wobbled on my toes on the exercise bike to get a good view out of the loft window)......

How quiet it was. No more screaming swifts and the blackbird was nowhere to be seen or heard. It's the end of summer....
