Burnet

Something we all loved to hate down on South Georgia was this stuff - burnet. It was like velcro and stuck to everything. When you tried to pull it off it would disintegrate and leave lots of little spines in whatever it had stuck to. We used to joke that if you got it on your socks you might as well burn them!
