Say "Cheese"!

Today has been SUCH a busy, social day!  Well, this afternoon was. This morning Mum did housework and I slept!  Then she snuck out to meet friends for lunch in the village.  They had walked here along the river and Mum had agreed to take them back to their car after lunch.  But before she did that, they came here to the house.  Mum SAID it was to have tea and cake and to look at the new kitchen, but I think it was really because they wanted to see ME!  It was nice to sit in the garden and fall asleep in between them on the swing while they talked.  

THEN - after we dropped them off at their car and after a short walk we went to a PARTY!  It was day 2 of the wedding (see yesterday's blip) and the family were having a casual get together with a buffet and drinks in the garden at the local pub.  Yesterday both the bride and groom (separately) invited Mum to this gathering and said "You WILL bring Dolly, won't you?".  When we arrived we heard from several people "There's DOLLY!!….Oh, hello, Heidi, how are you?".   Hmm….What can I say?  

Thankfully this evening Mum and I just relaxed - on the sofa, with my favourite blanket, watching TV, all by ourselves.  Which is MY idea of a perfect evening!
