walks with my dog

By mingamo

What a day!!

Its been dull wet and cold today Hate having to scrub Dileas dry every time we come back from a walk. To be honest he doesn't like it much either!! This rose bush is growing in a large tub at our front door. We have the black spot virus in our soil and therefore don't grow roses but this one never seems to be affected very much and gives lots of flowers so we cut it back at the end of each summer and it revives the next. It's a cutting from an old bush which my grandfather grew ( which might explain its hardiness and semi resistance to the spot) As it grows at the door and I didn't need to venture far it seemed a reasonable candidate for a blip. The buds are tiny and tight knit and dark pink. They develop into large loose flowers with the palest of pink petals.
