Early Morning Willow

This willow was glowing this morning, with backlighting from the early sun. Against the background of the Two Thumb Range, it looked lovely.

I was staying in Tekapo overnight and enjoyed a quick trip up Mt John to the Observatory, before driving back up to Christchurch. I'm putting a couple of images of Lake Tekapo in Extras, especially for blippers on the other side of the world. It's an amazingly beautiful place; so scenic.

A PS note from yesterday's blip. You might be interested to know that, as the passenger, I had to open (and shut) 18 closed gates, on the drive along the Thomson Gorge Rd (over the Dunstan Saddle) - at least there were 8 gates that were open, and could remain open!

Many many thanks to all you lovely blippers who have left comments and stars and hearts yesterday especially, and for some days previously too. Each one is very much appreciated! I'm hoping I'll be able to get back to commenting now I'm back 'home'.
