Moss Covered Rock

Today 16 members of the walking group walked from Glendhu Bay to Damper Bay, with some of the group walking all the way back to Wanaka (about 14 k's).  The weather was fine and sunny when we set out, but it soon clouded over, with a cool wind.  We spread out at lunch time, with 3 groups enjoying their lunch time views.  We had a nice hot drink at a local cafe before heading for home.  This part of the track (pictured) is quite rocky, with Kanuka (in photo), growing along the track.  Also looking beautiful at the moment is a Kowhai tree in full flower, with a few bell birds in residence.  (Extra pic).  Another great walk.
