Woodpecker ritual

As I was sitting outside this afternoon I heard quite a lot of woodpecker chatter and hammering. On further investigation (25 yards down the street!) I found these two Downies - the male was just sitting while the female scampered around the trunk and brought him food. Hmmm...I guess it's just a typical day.
