Texture

First of all thank you so much for your supportive comments, stars and faves on yesterday's V-J Day Blip. It was an emotional day for me and probably for all people who had family or close friends involved in WWII in the Asia-Pacific.

Today was a very hectic day, we went to Holland yesterday afternoon, and went back to Belgium this morning, so that we could have a friend from Holland over for lunch there, then we went to our friend A.'s birthday, meanwhile the boys had arrived at home in Belgium too, we had another family dinner, during the course of this day I had 3 kind of difficult conversations (consoling my bereaved friend and had to explain my medical predicament twice after that today), had to take pictures for two challenges and read up on the first week of a 4 week course I'm doing and do an assignment for that, so now it's just past midnight on the Continent and I am still typing the text of my Blip ! One of today's photo assignments was 'texture' and here's my submission for that. The tree stump forming part of the lilac shrub in our garden in Belgium, decked by bracket fungi which are starting to look very mossy !
