Da Sgurr
There had been showers this morning but they soon cleared up and after 2pm the sun came out and been a lovely warm day.
The party lasted long into the night last night, only got home at 4am. The Ghana band were brilliant and then they joined up with some local musicians,
Even after my late night, I managed to get up early this morning, made it down for breakfast and off I set to explore the south end of Eigg. The long walk to the pier helped clear the head and made it to the cafe at lunchtime. Then me and Brian set off up the hill and it was time to conquer Eigg's most famous landmark, Da Sgurr. After the climb, the long walk walk to the north end and feet up before dinner.
Feeling a bit tired tonight, think it will be home about the B&B and off to bed early.
The Sgurr climb wasn't too bad but the sheer cliffs on all sides were scary when up there. Plenty of other visitors climbing the hill today as well. The highest point is located near the front, closest to the house, and it high! This was taken after lunch, just up the hill from the cafe and then came across this house with the most wonderful back drop. The stunning views were certainly worth the climb through the bogs and muddy paths, surprisingly I managed to stay 95% dry :)
