Walk & wine
'You can't get better than a Kwik Fit Fitter, they're the ones to trust'??!!........
...........Who remembers that advertising slogan from the 80/90’s???
Sundays are ‘big long walk’ days, so this morning Ann said, ‘Molly, we are going to walk along the 'Camel Trail' today. I just need to nip to Kwik Fit first because there is a big huge nail in one of my car tyres.’
So Ann phoned Kwik Fit, explained the problem and they told her to bring the car in. Drove all the way to Penzance, only to be told that Kwik Fit couldn’t actually do anything until tomorrow. Not very quick then are they? And when Ann said that they’d only told her half an hour before, to bring the car in; they then said that was before they realised they had 7 or 8 other cars waiting to be seen. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........................
..............So obviously you can get better than a kwik fit fitter and they’re not the ones to trust??!!!!!!!
So then we had to phone our walking friend and cancel ‘big long walk Sunday’.
I was feeling a little bit disappointed until Ann said, ‘Molly, we will still go on big long walk Sunday; we’ll just go by ourselves, and then we’ll call on our friend, Denise, and see if she wants to drink wine in the sunshine.’
So we walked for more than two hours and Ann made me walk through a field and we couldn’t find the way out, so we ended up climbing over a load of gates. OK I had to squeeze myself underneath. And we had to walk through a stinky farmyard and Ann was really worried that the farmer was going to come out and shoot us for trespassing. Sometimes she really does have an overactive imagination??
And then we met Denise and walked down to 'Carbis Bay Beach', where I just had to lie down and behave and the humans had a bottle of wine.
................And we’ve walked 9.29 miles today. So even though we’ve ‘stayed local’, we’ve still done ‘big long walk Sunday.’ Yay!
Tired now!
