The Eyes Have It

'Nuther little job jobbed.
Think it's over the top?
We couldn't resist - saw them at the auto jumble about a month ago but we've had a helluva job sourcing brass/bronze bolts to fit them into the shedio doors. Tried local fishermen/ships' chandlers... online fasteners specialists... even found an ace place in London - Davey Jones Locker but they were gonna be an arm and a leg- then yesterdy at Scorton Auto Jumble - a man with a dusty box of the things... 'least the box said brass bolts but they had been coated with nickel - something to do with the electricity industry.
So we set to this morning with a variety of tools/devices/elbow grease/emery tape... and eventually a brass colour did emerge.
20p each in the end!
