Aylesbury Aerial Activity
Lots of bi & mono planes flying over all weekend all of them are De Havilland, the majority are Tiger Moths. I managed to track down & ID 4 of them which are included in the picture. Three Tiger Moths date from 1942. 1943 & 1947. The only monoplane in the collage dates from 1951 and is an Ex RAF DH Chipmunk. There obviously had to be a reason for all this DH activity and of course GOOGLE was able to help. Yesterday & today there has been a Rally of DH Tiger Moths at Woburn Abbey which is about 30 miles N of here. Earlier on I noticed that someone had Tweeted that there were 86 DH planes on the ground at that time...incredible ! A couple of links below which will tell all.....

Now I know that this rally is held annually I may have to go sometime...
A very easy day for me again but my hip is starting to feel better. C had done alot of pruning yesterday & because I was out of action N & R came around so that R could go to the tip with C. Thanks very much to them.
Its been a lovely day though it started off a bit dark but soon brightened up.
On this day in 1888 TE Lawrence was born..he later became known as Lawrence of Arabia
Thanks for all the stars & hearts yesterday & I hope you have all had a great weekend. See you tomorrow for Memory Monday.
