Christleton to Hargrave
We took our fold up bikes for a short ride, from Christleton to Hargrave in Cheshire, following the Shropshire Union Canal.
Lots of people live by the canal here - either in houses built right by the water's edge (I am feeling envious), or in narrowboats moored up in a long line along the canal. The boats are really colourful - it looks a good lifestyle. "Dunromin" for houses on land, "Not So Fast" for a boat on the water (complete with stone tortoise).
I like the hump backed canal bridges, although the people who live in the farm next to this one must get fed up with motorists continually tooting their horns to check that no one is coming the other way.
