Alive!

Typical British summer.....it had been not to bad for most of the week and then BANG! right at the weekend the low pressure that had first hit the South West of England has finally made its way up north!

We were meant to be going on a camping trip just down the road to North Berwick this weekend but that was called off. I could handle the wind and rain myself...and even accompanied by my good lady wife....but with the kids in toe.....no chance.

Saturday we stayed indoors in the morning but by lunchtime it was becoming abundantly clear that we needed to get out (yes the kids were a nightmare) - Isaac decided to head of himself so it was left for the 3 of us to make our way down to the Dalmeny Estate for a walk along the shore.

Normally it is flat calm but today the waves were crashing onto the shore - I got a couple of shots where I got soaked but then took this one with Clare and Jonathan standing on the rock (not full effect of the waves seen here) wind full on in their face but feeling so alive!

Sometimes when we are faced with "Storms" it is easy to batten down the hatch and wait for them to pass by...sometimes to feel alive we have to get ready and get out into them and face them head on - And if we are with someone we trust and who can watch over us.......how good does it feel!!

It makes us feel ....ALIVE!!!!
