Graduated Part Two:
Yesterday way a bit of a failure in experimenting with graduated filters. Today was a step forward. Although I have not yet got the hang of getting the graduation in quite the right place at least I’ve been able to compare the differences.
Both shots (without filter at ‘extra’) are as SOTC (identical minor tweaks made in ‘raw’) and with the filter we have got the exposure in the foreground pretty well the same as the sky. It’s interesting to see the shadow of the dark cloud on the right on the ground.
Next stage to stop comparing and get some better photos. Perhaps some extensive PS was called for today . . .
Point of interest - focal length at 10mm shows the edge of the filter holder (as expected) but at 11mm no problem - shows as 10mm in the exif anyway.
