Sparkling Waters

Eskdale is great for enjoying the hills away from the crowds even in mid summer. This morning we had a good five mile hike on the fells from Boot up to Eel Tarn and on to Burnmoor Tarn where we stopped for a picnic in the sunshine.

On our return to the village, we had ice cream followed by a train ride down the valley on La'al Ratty to Ravensglass
