Our 'friends' from Rainbow, a disaster recovery company that NFU use, arrived today. They've been before.

Completely no-nonsense. Installed driers (so, yes the house rumbles to the sound of Heathrow once again). Poked the ceiling with humidity sensors - that proved to be a mistake - see above :)  They quickly decided the carpet wasn't going to be recoverable and cut out the wet section to get the floorboards dried, and lots of soggy Dell House went away in the van.

We're expecting them back Monday to store the furniture so the rest of the ceiling can be taken down.

Meanwhile, we've a house full of guests and everyone's supportive and relaxed about it all.

Meanwhile, in other news, we find we're winners of a "2015 Service Excellence" award by TripAdvisor.  That was a pleasant surprise.
