Summer returns

A full day involved with church activities.

We provided the church flowers for tomorrow to celebrate 2 years since Grace and John's wedding - can you believe it! - and in memory of family birthdays (my dad would have been 97 next week) and then spent the morning helping at the monthly church coffee morning.

Luckily the weather was much improved on yesterday and the sun returned ( though there was a sneaky cool wind) as this afternoon there was a garden party at the vicarage in aid of the Leprosy Mission. As usual Chris was in charge of the BBQ and as you can see here he was very impressed with the two gas ones provided.

The garden here used to be more than twice its size until some was sold to build two houses but as you can see our current vicar and his wife have made a wonderful job of the remaining space.

It was a lovely afternoon with excellent food and company and hopefully lots of money will have been raised too.
