Buttercups

This is a vacant plot next to our GP surgery. I went past it a couple of weeks ago and it was full of buttercups; it still looks pretty, but there are fewer flowers now, and the seeded grass looks a bit autumnal. 

My parents arrived this afternoon, they are visiting for a few days; it's lovely to see them. I just hope we get some reasonable weather while they are here, it has hardly stopped raining since they arrived.
