Osprey Chick

This is an Osprey chick in the nest with the mother guarding it and its sibling from a higher branch. We set the cameras up at Beaufort near Inverness a few years back to check on the Ospreys. It isn't a site for public viewing.
The camera is set in the tree beneath the perch, The two chicks have got close a few times, but never sussed it out. It gives good close up pictures of the nest.
The nest has been successful each year and also this one. Some times the chicks go a bit out of focus, but that is the risk we take.
