Le Chateau de Murol

There were low clouds and rain for most of today, but we managed to fit in a visit to Le Chateau de Murol during a brief respite from the miserable weather.
Murol is in the departement of Puy-de-Dome in the Auvergne region. The 12th century castle sits on a rocky outcrop high above the town and the view from the top of the surrounding countryside is impressive - see today's extra photo.
