If a tree falls in the woods......

This is a Redwood tree in the New Forest, Hampshire.

The New Forest has massive examples of Giant Redwood, Coast Redwood and Dawn Redwood.

This one, felled by the forces of nature, has been removed from the road and cut up into extremely large sections.

A cross section is shown in Extra Photos. Please feel free to count the rings - I lost count at over 100.
