What a Welcome

Arriving at Debbi's this morning we were welcomed with open arms, not just by her and Willie, Shelley and Al but the hummers too who for me stole the show.

Buzzing with excitement I just couldn't wait to get my camera out on her deck which was adorned with beautiful flowers and positively littered with feeders specially for the hummingbirds who were whirring round furiously, with attitude!!

What a positively magical day for all of us  together: the Bifulcos, Brodys and Billinghursts, especially for we 3 girls - the 3 blippers  or 3 B's - hmm.. might give that nickname a miss ;)   Took a shed load nearly 1000 shots of butterflies, a spider Bathsheba, the size of which had to be seen to be believed, nuthatches, blue jays, finches, cardinals, woodies and dragons etc etc .......The entertainment was endless and what made it really special was being with Debbi and Shelley all doing what we love doing best together. I do feel so very lucky to have met them both through blipping.

The  day was rounded off with a cracking BBQ in the twilight with the hummers still humming around. It has to be said Willie did THE most fantastic job with a sumptuous meal which was all good as it's hard work blipping!!!

Shelley said to me when we were round the table that the day would live with her forever - me too.

Never has a day been so perfect and I'm missing them hugely now I'm home!
