Of Isles the Fairest
Here is the Ulva Ferry making its way uphill, with the base of Ben More in the far background.
M and I went over to Ulva today - our lunch at "The Boathouse" there was perfect: local oysters and langoustines with hunks of homemade bread, sitting in the sunshine, looking out over the loch and the mountains. The extras are of the lunch, and the pot of tea we had after our walk - the latter mainly because of the colours.
Ended our fortnight's holiday in 'God's own country' with another superb meal at Am Berlinn this evening - they fetched us in their minibus so M could have a drink - NO alcohol for drivers in Scotland.
The Isle of Mull (or Ulva or Iona) is of Isles the fairest,
Of ocean's gems 'tis the first and rarest;
Green grassy island of sparkling fountains,
Of waving woods and high tow'ring mountains.
