Eyes to the Sky
Today marked a very import landmark in the Battle of Britain it is the 75th Anniversary of an important flight. To mark this 3 groups of Spitfires flew over different areas in the area and neighbouring counties. Not the best of weather very cloudy and dull but managed to get a couple of shots as they flew over Lincoln.I have posted a couple more shots on FLICKR
This is the 2nd time in 24 hours i have been staring up into the sky. Last night before going to bed I decided to check out the Meteor showers but didnt have my camera a big mistake as at around 12.15 this morning i spotted one amazing one shot directly over head East to West showing its gas flares and all leaving an amazing green trail which stayed visible for around a minute. saw a further 4 or 5 poor quality ones in a 15 minute spell , Just a shame this evening is going to be cloudy
