Mammoth Site of Hot Springs

Checking out the deathbed of over 60 mammoths (and other Pleistocene mammals) at the very cool Mammoth Site in South Dakota.  You can even see some footprints where these young male mammoths tried to get out of their hot springs deathbed.  

Last time we all visited here together was about 20 years ago - just before they finished the building over top of the dig site.  This put our 2015 fossil tour off to a good start! (even though these are bones, not fossils..)
