The weather has been all over the place today. Rain, hail, snow, rainbows, and sunshine all in one day.

It's also Guy Fawkes Night (also known as Bonfire Night, Cracker Night, Fireworks Night, Bommy Night,) is an annual celebration on the evening of the 5th of November. It celebrates the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot of the 5th of November, 1605 in which a number of Catholic conspirators, including Guy Fawkes, were alleged to be attempting to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London, England. Hard to beleive, but by 9.30pm the sky cleared up, the stars twinkled, and the fireworks burst forth.

It commemorated another victory for me, an expat American, who couldn't be more proud of the USA than this night, finally making change happen and with such historical importance, as well. (I guess it's okay for me to go home now ! :)

I had another photo I wanted to post tonight, but it's not available yet. Hopefully I can repost it when it is available.
