One for the Road . . . But Stay Tuned . . .

Here we are, down to the very last summer show with (l. to r.) Conner, Alex, and Kaeli. The group is sometimes called The Jazz Kids, or sometimes Kaeli and Friends, but no matter the name, these guys have a crisp, tight, engaging jazz sound with more soul and sass than you'd imagine artists their age could deliver. They performed covers, they performed originals (written by Kaeli) and they delivered a rendition of La Vie en Rose that, ooooh, dare I say, I preferred over Edith Piaf's classic?

Kaeli is flying back to school on the east coast as this blip is posted - but she'll be back in the fall, and I'm looking forward to witnessing the ongoing evolution of their talent and creativity.
