Moving

Up early'ish and off to an 8.30 Pilates class. And a quick coffee afterwards, nice. No kids this weekend, they are off in Auckland with grandparents, having loads of fun I hear.

You might think we'd make the most of it, head away, relax ... Maybe tomorrow. Friends who lost their house in the earthquake are moving for the 4th time, hopefully the last time until their house is rebuilt. Man, they must be so over moving.

Interesting, the man of the household is in Canada, leaving the wife at home to move. That's planning, I think!

So lots of friends pitched in, and starting at 10 we have them mostly moved by 2, Pianos and all. Thankfully the new house is only a short distance away. We had cars and trailers, and trolleys trundling washing machines down the footpath, and, trampolines on trailers.

We finished up at 5.30 after helping set everything up. Being technical, I of course was assigned stereos, computers, TV's, phones, internet. Success, aside from the Internet, 2 more days for Chorus to "flick the switch", literally.

Hmm, maybe it's time to get our TV setup properly, tonight's project maybe ...
